Wedding Videos - Frequently Asked Questions

I'd feel embarrassed to be filmed - what if I trip of mess something up?  Don't worry, the video will be edited - we only include the good stuff in the final edit!  Our job is to make you look great!
How far ahead should we book?
We only accept one wedding per week to allow  us time to edit your video.  Once the date is gone - it's gone!  Do ask about late-availability though.
But our wedding Photographer will capture it all, won't he?
Only moving pictures will show the day as it really was.  Your wedding film will move you in a way stills never will.  Wait and see!
Can we select the music?
Yes, of course!  A significant part of the film will be set to music and we like to make it personal to you.  Just let us have the CDs or mp3s if you have them.

Are two cameras really enough?
Yes. Our wedding videos are cleverly edited.  The final product will seem to have been shot using many more than two cameras.
My Uncle Charlie has a camcorder, why do I need you?
For the same reason you wouldn't trust your Aunt Fanny to make your dress or your cake - because you want it done right!  A domestic camcorder doesn't record well in the low-light conditions found in churches and reception venues. Besides, your relations want to enjoy the day, not work.
How far will you travel?
We're located in Plympton, Plymouth - convenient for most of Devon and Cornwall.  We do travel to other areas but need to charge expenses.
How long will the finished film be?
It depends on the event, but we aim for a finished, edited, wedding video to run between 30 and 60 minutes (if it's too long, people won't watch it).  We're happy to make it longer or shorter if you'd prefer.  We can make short versions for the Internet too!
How quickly will we receive the DVDs?
Usually within a month.  We like to spend at least 40 hours in post-production editing each film so it's as perfect as we can get it.
Will we meet you before the day?
Yes, we like to run through things and, if possible, attend the rehearsal too (if you're having one) so we can plan the shots.
Will you be obtrusive?
Absolutely not - you'll hardly know we're there!  We try to discreetly disappear into the background.  We want to document your day, not perform in it!
How can we pay?  Cash, cheques or Paypal (and credit cards via Paypal).  A non-refundable deposit of £150 is required at the time of booking, the balance must clear before recording.
